Model Railroading Today and Tomorrow

Discovering the new arts and sciences

Model railroaders in the New England should attend one of the best and biggest shows managed by the Amherst Railroad Society in West Springfield, MA. This two day event is held the weekend before the Super Bowl. Now eight acres of dealers and modular railroads in four buildings at the Eastern States Exposition grounds. The location is centrally located in a lower cost community with plenty of hotels in the area. I have been there a number of times and this year went for both days.

Nearly every Northeastern USA dealer and manufacturer has a booth. The depth of inventory at the selling booths is amazing. The show and many of the sellers conduct on site clinics and demos. Bar Mills had a ‘tent’ with an on going classes both days.
